What Does The PTA Do?

PTA Builds Community

Our PTA strives to create FREE monthly events that build our community with all families that attend Pioneer. By holding a variety of events throughout the school year, families can come together and enjoy spending time together.

• Donuts with Grown-Ups
• Read Night

• Cookies with Santa
• Science Fair
• Walk to School Day
• And more!

PTA Supports Our School

Although fundraising and selling stuff is not everyone's favorite activity, all of the funds that are raised go straight back to Pioneer. The PTA raised $15,000 last year to give back to the teachers, staff, and students at our school. Some of the items PTA financed include:

• Teacher & special program reimbursements (library, computer, P.E., music, nurse, counselor, etc.) for class resources/supplies
• Replacement of the school track

• Staff appreciation events
• Transportation costs for class field trips
• Various school activities that were free for Pioneer families

PTA Provides Educational Enrichment for Our Children

Pioneer PTA creates events that provide additional hands-on, creative learning outside of the classroom. Events like Art Fair, Family Read/Math/STEM Night, and Pumathon bring learning to a whole new level.

PTA Communicates

The PTA makes sure to stay in communication with parents, teachers, and school staff in a variety of ways, including: Facebook, webpage, email, and even in person. Making sure everyone is in the loop is a priority for the Pioneer PTA board.

The purpose of the Pioneer PTA is to support the education of the children at Pioneer School of the Arts by providing enrichment opportunities beyond the basic classroom setting; foster relationships between the parents, teachers, and staff in an effort to achieve the best possible education for every student; promote community among our children, parents, and school staff.
